Absolutely. It is quite a large region that has had a great level of autonomy in the past and has a far better past when it comes to respecting the rights of its citizens than the Spanish government's absurd land grab laws.

 That's interesting. I guess they are waiting to see what Scotland does first before trying though

Indeed, the situation bears much in common and I personally believe its in the interest of Scotland to achieve independance in the long run. 

It's nations like Singapor and Hong Kong (know its not independant but more autonomous) that make me believe that small nations allow for more reactive and vibrant economies.

One ket difference is that support for independance is curiously stronger in Catalonia. I guess Scotland being generally noted as a seperate nation eases calls for independance.
