I dunno, there still seems tto be a lot of backlash against M$ over the "inferior multiplats" thing, and high price. As for Nintendo, where to begin... - Abandoned the Wii too early, burning fans and bleeding gamers to the competition. - Not making Wii U clearly stomp ps3/360 power wise out of the gate. - Letting Wii U fall into a software drought right out of the gate. - Terrible, inadequate marketing. - Rampant delays of key software like Pikmin 3. |
I believe that gaming drought was unavoidable.
Nintendo is like a compressed company. It seems like all their studios a very close to Nintendo and are being watched very closely to ensure that the majority, if not all, of their games are quality. They dont seem to have THAT many studios to be pumping out games very quickly.
Its just that WiiU is almost exclusively relying on its 1st party games. The Wii didn't have the serious 3rd party games but they had enough non- Nintendo games that kinda disguised it a bit.
There was a lot of games i wanted to try on the Wii that weren't made by Nintendo but the same can not be said for the Wii U for me.
The REAL problem is that damned Gamepad. The Gamepad should have had the "Wii Fit" treatment. The Gamepad should have been sold seperately with Nintendoland.
Wii Mote>>>Gamepad
people were actually making games for the Wii Mote but not too many people want to make games for that damned Gamepad
Their mistake was making the Gamepad(inferior to the Wii Mote) their main controller
and the MS resolution thinghas to do with their hardware and them taking a gamble. PS4 and X1 are launching close to each other so it was pretty much a 50/50 chance of who woud have the better hardware. Its not like they knew a full year ahead of time what PS4 was going to have in it.
MS can also drop that price any time they want. They just simply have to introduce and x1 SKU without Kinect will be good. They are atleast in a better position than Sony was back in the early ps3 days. Sony couldn't drop their prices so easily
