The 1st battle that each and every game has to go through is its initial appeal(getting peoples attention and actually getting people to look forward to the game).

Puppeteer, for example has triumphed in The Battle Of he Appeal and The Battle Of The Reviews. It sadly seems to have been defeated in The Battle Of The Sales though :(

 

Super Mario 3D World, for example, has triumphed the 1st Battle. It now looks to be on track to triumph in The Battle Of The Reviews
