Then why couldn't Sony have put four rubber feet on the bottom of the PS4 so that there was NEVER a stability issue with the console?
The further we get into this the less and less sense you're making. If I don't need the stand on to stand my PS4 up on its side, then why the heck don't they have four feet on the bottom panel instead of three? There's nothing to get in the way of standing the console on its side if you put feet on the bottom panel of the console.
Four clear rubber feet, so they're invisible and they keep the console slightly raised up off the surface if laid flat. More importantly, four at the corners or equidistance from the edges so the console remains flat and balanced. Not a fricken teeter-totter.
