On another note...
I very very rarely skipped classes in my first 4 years of college (as in I could probably count the total times I skipped on a hand...this doesn't include times I was sick).
The senior slide has hit me badly this year...my grades are still fine...3 A's and 2 C's (one of those would be a C no matter what, the other would be a B if I hadn't gotten bronchitis and missed 3 classes)...it is just I never go to my two classes on MWF anymore. Ever. I go to my 8AM government accounting class to take exams and if I just happen to be awake and want to walk a mile to class. The sick part is this is an elective in my major. But I have an A, I get 100% on all the homework, and I rock the tests...so I figure...why go. The 10AM security analysis class I have a solid A as well, and I only go on test days and days I need to turn homework in. I get 100% on all my homework, and just got 98% on my last test. Once again...why go? Especially when this class is just for my minor, which in the realm of things, doesn't mean too much to me.
What am I missing when I skip my accounting class? For the entire class period, he goes over the homework problems (very very slowly mind you), which he also posted online, so I wind up just going to class and reading my textbook. When I'm not in class, what do I do? Read my textbook. Nothing really different there.
I go to nearly all of my Tuesday/Thursday courses as there are a lot of in class homework assignments and I actually enjoy attending 2 of the 3.
Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
