Is that a fail for SM3DW? I'm not sure what Mario's usual Famistu scores looks like.

Huh? It got 2 10s and 2 9s. Why would that be a fail?

Surprised about FF13 lightening returns. I've heard good things so far so maybe it will exceed all of our expectations.

I had this strange feeling that 3D Marios always got 40. Looks like I was wrong though.

So because the game is a 3D mario it automatically gets a 40? That's a weird mentality to have.

Let me rephrase: I was of the opinion that past Mario titles depicted in three dimensions had recieved perfect scores from Famitsu. I thought I read it somewhere, but was wrong.

It's a review. No game is guarenteed a perfect score. That literally makes zero sense. But whatever lol.
