If it's YouTUbe vids, you won't be able to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p because the latter option isn't true 1080p. That's not indicative of the real res differences at all.

I'm refereing to the xbox 360 display settings, not videos...... I leave it on 1080 for good measure though but I was going back and forth and it both looked the same.

You must not have a very big television, because that is a 50% there.

That would explain it. Only time you can truly see a difference that small is on PC monitors.

Yeah I did the same thing on my 13.3' macbook screen and the screen maxes out to 800 and I can see the change from 720 to 800.......
