It's pretty funny when people antagonize any responses that don't fit into a particularly narrow expectation, after asking a question that is constructed to invite responses from people with a variety of opinions. Anyway...
If a megaton has to be extremely unexpected then I can't see how Destiny's multiplatform announcement fits that definition. A megaton can't just be unexpected; it has to be so extremely unexpected that when people hear about it, they don't actually believe it immediately. It takes a while for their brains to process what they just heard. Sure, many people predicted that it would be timed exclusive for the Xbone, but with Bungie's departure from Microsoft to Activision and the decrease in third-party exclusives, it certainly wasn't unfathomable in people's minds for it to launch concurrently on the PS4 instead.
For the most part, there was only flimsy rumors (let's not forget opposing rumors as well) and Microsoft's history to suggest that Destiny would be timed exclusive. However, there was no reason to believe that it was extremely unlikely for the opposite to occur. I think for most people, Destiny's concurrent release on the PS4 was certainly a realistic possibility, albeit for some it may have been the less probable of the two possibilities. That's certainly not enough to quantify a Megaton. When a megaton is announced, people say "Oh shit!" When Destiny was announced for the PS4, people said "Oh, that's interesting."
