Sony is supoorting the vita with great games, well, japanese games. for next year its freedom wars, gravity rush 2 and if i understand correctly a new soul sacrifice? my point is, this year its getting god eater 2 and had a lot of cool japanese games, but other than sly cooper (a PS3 game initially too), Tear away and killzone there has been no western type of games releasing on it. Japanese gamers might be happy but western gamers certainly are not!

Even if Sony weren't supporting it with Japan Studio, it'd be okay in Japan.  Falcom; Compile Heart; Nippon Ichi; Gust; Acquire etc. would turn up and pander to the Otaku's; and Tecmo Koei + Namco Bandai would throw it a few bones with PS3/Vita games.  It wouldn't be enough to keep the console thriving; but it'd be enough to keep it alive.

In the west we're fighting for anything, really.  The best I can say about third party support over here is that WB are pretty good at making terrible LEGO ports for the console and Milestone Srl. release a few racing games on it.  That's literally it apart from Shahid's indie efforts.  Personally I've loved many of the indie games on Vita, but they're not on store shelves and they don't sell consoles.

I'm glad Sony's Japanese arm is supporting Vita.  I'd rather they did that than just moped around for another generation.  But I need them to mix it in with western studios and right now that's just not happening at all.  Plus, they've gone overboard with hunting games.  We don't need Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice; especially since Ragnarok Odyssey; God Eater & Toukiden are already servicing hunting fans on the platform.  Waste of resources imo, unless this Freedom Wars reveal turns out to be something special.

I just sincerely hope that they're cooking something they haven't announced yet and we at least get a Killzone-esque exclusive for Vita next year (InFAMOUS?) plus a few cross-platform retail titles like Ratchet or Sly.  That'd at least keep me content.
