The only game that made me feel sad of close to tears was the ending of FFIX when I found out the Vivi had "expired". That crushed me.
I got really angry a couple time while playing Xenogears when you kept finding out about these terrible things the government was doing and also what had happened/happening to Fei.
Resident Evil 2 also genuinely scared the crap out of my on multiple parts of the game. Even the third and fourth time through with a friend we were going for the unlockablse so doing speed runs without saving, so we knew the game fairly well and knew when stuff would jump out at us. Even though we knew it was coming when that giant guy would bust through the wall at us we both jumped and often dropped the contoller.
Nothing in the last 5 years has given me that feeling. I hope its cuase the games just arnt moving me and not because i've outgrown or become desensitized to it.
