We're comparing the prices you pay to get the topic feature; double screen "splitscreen".

I own a Wii U and the fact that I can play Zelda on the gamepad was what attracted me to buy the console so being able to do something similar with my Vita and a PS4 is something which I appreciate. Even so, comparing the price of a handheld and a console versus a console by itself for a specific feature makes no sense and I doubt that someone with any common sense would buy a Vita just for the sake of PS4 remote play. If someone was solely looking for the ability to play console games on a gamepad/vita then I would wholly recommend the Wii U as that would be the more logical approach.
