From personal experience, my friends are hype for the console, but don't have money to buy it and won't buy it until is very cheap with couple of games. They say that they will stick with their PS3 or 360 for a couple more years before making the jump.
As for marketing itself, I have seen a decent amount in my country (more than normal actually), but I don't know if it will pay off.
