Very true. Just like defending having other apps, like Netflix , internet browser, etc., behind a paywall but are free to access EVERYWHERE else. Next, we'll have a game that uses a P2P2P2P model and some will still defend that. 
I do think, however, these policies are part of the reason many are switching to PS this gen.

I agree. It would be completley different, and acceptable, if it was a subscription where all the content would become available to you over time. But to have it where you have to pay TWO subscription fees and STILL have to pay for the content seperately, is just ridiculous. This would be like paying for a season pass just to get access to the DLC that it covers, and then STILL having to pay for the DLC. MS can try this strategy, but its not goin to work.
