8 above and how many below?

Now how many $500? $400? $300?

Your serous right? The most expensive remote was $449.  So for $50 more MS throws in the rest of the capabilities of the Xbox One.  It doesnt matter how many below.  The point is there is a big market for making control of home theater systems a whole hell of a lot easier. Do you want to know how many above $100.  Again many people are spending above $100 for a freaking remote control.  Hey Logitech even sells an adapter so that you can use one of their high end remotes with a PS3 for $40 at Amazon. So you spend over $100 then spend $40 more to control the PS3.  Must be a market for it.

I am serious. But you only seemed to have answered one of my questions because it suited you. This is referred to as the cherry-picking fallacy.

Is it safe to assume that most remotes are <$100 and perform basically the same function as the higher end remotes with the difference being convenience?

So does individual remotes. Have a console, a AV receiver, a TV, a BR player, and a Cable/DirectTv box each has an individual remote so I guess who needs a Universal Remote othe then for convenience?

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
