the game division posted a loss because of PS4 manufacturing. High manufacturing without selling -> loss. The movie industry is very volatile (or how you say it). You have to invest a lot of money in order to make money. And the entertainment bussiness is growing, especially the movie industry. So I have confidence in Sony Pictures, they just had a bad quarter So this brings us back to sony TV and Mobile divisions. Like I said.. It's going to be an interesting holiday. |
i dont understand your reply.
Sony themselves stated why they occured a loss. They mentioned Vita pricecut and certain movies doing badly. Im sure ps4 costs is up there as well. In any case all you have done is explained my post.
So how does that bring us back to Mobile and TV? Mobile has been doing quite well for Sony as of late. Probably due to the relative success of the Xperia Z. TV business has always been a problem but profits from other divisions which usually makes a profit (gaming, sony pictures), helps offset those loses.
So...for this particular quarter the reasons for the loss, as sony stated, was because of gaming and sony pictures. What's to argue here?
