The kinect SOC is likely an ASIC, not exactly what you'd call some generic processor. Everything can be done without hUMA. The memory architecture is only used to improve performance of certain tasks.

You will soon find that if your opinion in any way is not going down the path the the PS4 is all powerful, you will be questioned and harrassed until the end of time on these forums. Eventually, basic frustration begins and that's when the Sony faithful take advantage of you. People end up falling off topic and making personal attacks. If you want to stick around, don't bother to try to debate PS4 vs XB1 power. Too many Sony supporters here and all of them act like they designed both systems and know better than anyone with a different opinion.
OT : I am a supporter of the XB1(even though i did not preorder it or the PS4). But the facts are the facts at this point. The PS4 is probably 30% more powerful in graphics capability than the XB1. The difference is that within 2 years both systems will sadly be way under powered. They can barely do 1080p now and it will be a steady decline towards 30fps and 720p. 1st party games will be the only ones to do better, but that will be because the designers made choices to reduce other parts of the games to achieve higher resolution or faster framerates. When everbody complained about the "power of the cloud" on this site, they were very short sighted. The power of the cloud had better help both systems a few years from now or there will be great dissapointment in our futures.

PlayStation 4 is powerful, but the gap is not that huge and rule of diminishing returns are applied...
Only reason why games on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 would be sub 1080p is because of 3rd party wanting the best visuals and because of game engines that are coded in high level or mid level code rather than low level code like Assemly to use maximum out of the machine, look at Iron Fall for 3DS.
Gap between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is not huge by any standards at these power levels, it that was like with Genesis versus SNES then 30% made a huge difference yet the more performance you have the less you can do as you increase resolution, drawing distance and other things.
I could go chatting about this for days.

Only reason why developers don't have "time" to do it because they are lazy, they can do it, they can take the time to do it yet they don't take the needed time. Developers like VD Dev and Shin'en prove you wrong and you don't know a bit how it feels like a developer nor do I so we can only dream about how it is ultil you and/or me get in the video game industry.
So you are basically saying that Sony fanbase should have been quite while 3rd party developers put poorly made ports with glitches, bugs, game breaking bugs that they were getting from 2006 to as late as 2010? Same for Nintendo fanbase, should they put up on poorly made ports that are cheap and that do not utilize the hardware? So you say yes to type of games that caused the Video Game Crash Of 1983?! Main problem is that major publishers want develop games under a year and that is way too short for developing the game, doing optimizations and specially if developing new features and engines. I know time is money and companies need to survive, but the quality of games got worser, it is not like 6th generation where you could still make a relatively cheap and large game and make gangbusters.
I know that programming is hard and it needs a lot of math, knowledge involving hardware and documents about the hardware... What ever...
You are funny, stop forcing a premise that is not valid, I don't underestimate it. I am saying that there should be some standard and quality control, why is so hard for them to delay a game for a month or two to solve some major issues. Look at Battlefield 4, it is literally a clusterf****. Wow... Shin'en are tech wizards, look at Iridion, Jet Rocket and FAST Racing League that is like 40MB yet it has a lot of content and replay value.
Too bad you don't know VD Dev, they are more of tech guys than really game developers. COP Recruit DS is made by them and published and funded by Ubisoft and just because their game got low scores does not mean their game engine and tech is terrible. Look at COP Recruit DS on youtube, search it up, it is fully open world game on DS and DS is weaker than PSP and tell me that it is not impressive, now look at Iron Fall for 3DS and say that it is not impressive for 3DS game and that it does not look like a Vita game.
