It is a good thing to know what you stand for and what you're trying to achieve, simple and clear.
Nintendo is also clear about their message. Microsoft on the other hand is in one hell of a mess at the moment, which is understandable considering the fundamental changes in policies that took place recently.
There is nothing to "hate" about this. Come on ... join the dark side.
