With those types of speeds I can't help but think the entire internet as we know it will need to be re-written to take advantage.
Not sure how to explain this but the current internet infrastructure/experience is just so slow, flat from a visual perspective, and un-interactive. I can't quite articulate it but the current internet is like a bunch of poorly stitched together piles of flat paper or something.
I'm really hoping this will change with more speed and Google fiber seems like a good place to start. It's seems logical that with fast enough speeds cloud services will actually become viable. Then, with most heavy lifting being done remotely, the sky's the limit for what we can do from a processing stand point.
I know, I know, It sounds like a pipe dream, but I'm imagining something much more alive and dynamic/interactive than what we call the internet now. Hopefully fiber and services like it will lead toward a much more visually rich, interactive, and seamlessly interconnected experience.
Fingers crossed, as I'd really like to see the jump to the next thing sooner than later. Until then enjoy your uninterrupted HD streaming you bastard!
