I meant how did you launch a game without Arcade and Story Mode? It is the basic... I know the update will be free.

Then again: I'm sorry :P Well, 20 bucks still is a great deal IMO, it would be a totally different story if the game were to cost 50/60/70. And you kinda answer your own question with "launch [...] game", Microsoft just doesn't want/allow the game to be postponed.
