Since in this generation we will not have a jump toward a higher definition(dunno why), and the games will still be 1080 p 60 fps max acroos all consoles, it will be far more easy to do comparions about performace in the games.

So I decide to start a poll, to see what most of members think of  how wiiu will fare, when him puts the best game graphic wise(not talk about gameplay here). Before we start, some clarification:

  • Will not be something like the best wiiu game x best ps4 game, we all know the answer(wiiu kick anyone's ass). Its more something like: wow, this wiiu game looks like a game for ps4
  • Lets separate the games on waves
    • 1st wave: launch games. Easily mislead with a past-gen game, but have way more effects of ligth and particles, and bigger universes. Sloopy performace and bugs all the way. Examples: Fifa 14, COD, BF4
    • 2nd wave: games that got anounced before the generation started. Come by midle 2nd year of life off the console. Polygon count grows, so texture quality, performace problem now rare, but developers still doesn't use the resources in the best way possible( great franchises usually appear here). Last generation abbandoned. Example: Wicther 3, Mirror's Edge
    • 3rd wave: sequel for the first games of the life cycle. The best use of resources appears here, the game really deliver the vision of the artist, most performace issues are now gone.  We can say the best games of the generation(multi) come out on this cycle.  The first game truly beatfull, but with sloppy performace appear. Exaples: Batman Arkham City, BF3
    • 4th wave: pre-next gen era. All game are stunning, but performace wise start to decrease, and so bugs starts to increase. The best looking exclusive game come out around here. Example: FIFA 14, BF 4, AC4: BF

The thing i'm most interested to know is: what the perception of community about wiiu power and what the percetions of community about next-gen console power.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
