"news" you mean one opinion? That doesn't even specifically say "360 isn't profitable" you're seeing what you want to see. I don't know how you could argue with a straight face tha 360 hardware after all these years confirmed to be profitable and with two revisions is losing money, and even in the bizzare scenario it was, that live and software sales wernt making up for the cost.

There is no point further discussuing this, you know what you want to believe and it doesn't matter what is put in front of you. I can well believe Xbox One is causing some damage but suggesting after all these years 360 still isn't profitable, that's a joke.

You can believe what you want but dozen of new about non-profiable and shared holders trying to sell the Xbox divisin was found in the internet.

"And Microsoft makes nothing from its xBox/Kinect entertainment division"

Five seconds on google.

Ha, exactly proving my point. MS DO make money in the E&D it's on their balance sheet. If he said "Xbox doesn't make money" then he'd have to have inside information, but that's better than saying the E&D doesn't make money, because that's easily proven false.

Whyd on't you post that whole paragraph?

Microsoft makes more than 75% of its profits from Windows and Office.  Less than 25% comes from its vaunted servers and tools.  And Microsoft makes nothing from its xBox/Kinect entertainment division, while losing vast sums in its on-line division (negative $350M-$750M/quarter).

The guy is talking about which divisions make what and he's doing a shit job of it.

Then again he's a forbes contributor, just like where the majority of these "xbox loss" articles suspiciously come from. Next time I see another article I can flat out prove is lying from a contribuitor (won't be long) I'll post it to you so you stop taking their word as gospel.
