2) Agreed, till the latest data proves otherwise, Apple is just more profitable and that's were the money is. Like Blackberry before the sunden fall. 3) It is? Why do you grab on those 75M from Apple overall, including the outdated and shitty devices, and compare to the other brands but only including high end ? Samsung alone trumps Apple in device sales counting all models and prices of smartphones, if you put the others into that, you got what you have in the thread title. Android dominance. Sorry but this is so obvious and known for quite a while that I don't know how can you not see it. samsung outsells nokia + apple + lg: http://venturebeat.com/2013/10/29/global-phone-sales-hit-418m-and-samsung-sells-more-than-nokia-apple-lg-combined/ 4) Grab a calculator to understand how the apple marketshare has been shrinking at a rapid pace for the last 5 years and how that's gonna affect the future of a company that once was double the value it is now. It lowered its value because of android and lack of innovation. Blackberry all over again.
Note: Lumia is windows OS. Cannot be included on this. |
You know that iOS and Android caused the all of Blackberry right? If iOS falls, it will be when something better comes along. That thing isn't Android, as they have managed to sell more and more iPhones every year despite Android.
I included all iPhones as they are all high end. Look at this: http://gizmodo.com/one-huge-reason-to-not-switch-to-android-or-windows-1301382833. A year old iPhone has retained more value than the latest Samsung phone. And it's even worse for other manufacturers. If you buy Android the value of your phone plummets. So it's only worth comparing the latest Android phones as they aren't worth anything a year later, unlike iPhones.
I don't know why you are showing me what Samsung sells in total, as they make devices for 3 OSes not just Android. And I haven't disputed Android's larger marketshare, but I've shown you that iOS owns the high-end marketshare, and is growing in this (most valuable) area compared to the others. Samsung had a disappointing year http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/galaxy-s4-reportedly-hits-40m-sales-roughly-on-par-with-s3-50012589/, but not for Apple http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/oct/21/iphone-5s-apple-top-us-september. Samsung sold the same number of their high-end phones, while Apple sold more of theirs.
You really need to read this: http://techpinions.com/androids-market-share-is-literally-a-joke/16709. I don't think you understand how marketshare actually impacts the success of a business.
