This generation is gonna be long because PCs are going to have issues about the latest state of the art technology. Well. The CPU's in tablets will quickly surpass the next generation consoles, Jaguar to put blunty is crap.
Ram will catch up soon enough, even if it is only Low-powered DDR4.
GPU's however are power hogs in comparison, so I doubt we will see them match the Radeon 7000's in the next gen twins for many years to come. (Unless Microsoft drops in an Optimus set-up in Surface one day.)

All platforms have exclusives, for instance, good luck playing PC or Xbox exclusives on your Playstation.
The difference is the PC and by extension x86 tablets running Windows is bound to get all of Sony's exclusives eventually.
Still, the only reason you should buy a Playstation or an Xbox or a PC or a Wii is for games that suits your tastes in games and not because everyone else dislikes/likes something.

Why exactly do think that Sony is going to give up first party exclusives like Uncharted, God of War, or Infamous to Windows based platforms like PC's? I'm seriously really curious on your logic behind that? It hasn't happened in the past, why now?
First party Sony games run it's devision. Are you trying to state Sony will go under, cause I don't think so personally. Or are you speaking of illegal roms and emulation?
