You can play Arkhan games pressing only Y during combats. Well, the moral is "If you are not interested in high combat scores and executions, those are not games for you". |
Er...no? At the very least, dodging is a critical part of surviving in both of those games. While you can feasibly just use one attack button to win in Arkam and Bayonetta, you have to at least be pressing two in order to dodge.

Friends!!!
It was just a hyperbole. Of course the game design of Batman AA and AC reward you for using multiple atacks and combos. But if you want just to rush throught the campain you can easily go if basic moves and counters.
If Batman games relied only in combat it would be a very boring game. End that, as others have pointed out is probally the main problem with Ryse.

If the Arkham games didn't have the combat, they would still have the stealth gameplay. I would like to see you rush through them with pressing a single button.

Yes, that misture of gameplay mechanics that made the games so great.
Unfotunately Ryse has only one of those, and thats is because I think the game might get boring fast for many gamers, no matter how good the combat might be.
