Witch time was only triggered when you counter right? Getting the timing right for a counter in Bayonetta is a bit more difficult than getting a counter in Batman, AC and im assuming Ryse. Enemies do a slow obvious attack on you one by one....you have all the time to counter in games like those. Bayonetta is more traditional hack n slash similar to DMC with tight timings and insane combos. And yeah sure you can play Bayonetta by just waiting and then counter...but who the hell plays bayonetta like that :?

Surely you see the difference between the two types of combat mechanics?

When you dodge/evade to be right... well it happen all the time... I'm attacking then the enemy try to hit me I hit R2 to dodge/evade and it enters in Witch Time... it is natural and you do without want to use Witch Time... I'm a guy that uses dodge/evade a lot in all games.

Both are easy but evade/dodge in Bayonetta is easy than a counter in Batman because it is easy to hit R2 to do that... there is no room to mistake and you didn't need timing at all... before you receive the hit push R2 = Witch Time.

DMC is far way more techinical and timing than Bayonetta... water to wine here... God of War III is more tecnical than Bayonetta.

About how I play the game... I go over the enyme all the time and when it will go to hit me I just dodge (aka enter in Witch Time)... I don't need strategy... just hit hit hit R2 hit hit R2 hit hit hit R2 hit hit hit hit hit hit R2.

And I play Bayonetta even without the witch time (you need any sword)... hold Triangle and wait all the enemies and when they are in your attack range just hit (90% of the enemies died with one hit in HARD... some needs two hits)... so you can do that: hold (2 seconds), Release + Hold again (2 seconds), Release + Hold again until kill any enemy without receive a hit (the enemy didn't have time to action at all)... use the Berserker amulet to make the enemies angry to go fast after you.

I will make a video just to show how easy it is .

@Bolded we will agree to disagree here. Nothing is easier than hitting a counter in batman or AC for me. Ive played through Bayonetta on Normal difficulty and it wasnt anywhere as close to being as easy as the combat of batman or AC. This is considering that I dont wait whole day to get hit in Bayonetta...the combat is different.
