Well if the games that good shouldnt the masses be buying it? 5mill is an average sales count for a good game, its not legendary or great. Half Life 1 and 2 sold more then 12mill each, GTA and Cod sell over 10mill easy, Mario Kart and Halo sell over 8mill easy. Blizzard games sell more then 8mill. Games like RE 5 and 6 sell around the same as Uncharted or TLOU so does Tomb Raider.  NG games to me are no bigger then Resident Evil or Tomb Raider.

 

Comparing ND to 343 is a joke, they aren't even remotely close. How many franchises has 343 created? Zero? Oh... Meanwhile ND managed to create Crash, the only guy who holds his ground next to Mario and Sonic. They created Jak and Daxter - maybe not a revolutionary franchise, easily their worst effort, but still a very good one (this tells a lot - a very good game is their worst ever). Later on we have Uncharted and TLoU - games that revolutionalised their genre (just see the new Tomb Raider) and are the face of their platform, all showered with awards. Rare? When was the last time they made a good game? How many generations ago was that? You can't be serious comparing a long dead studio to ND. To sum up, ND easily stands right next to Valve, Nintendo and Blizzard as the best devs ever.

You could compare Uncharted to RE or TR, but only in their primes, when they were the biggest games out there, exciting players all over the world, selling and shaping the original Playstation. Comparing UC to what is left from RE or TR now is a misunderstanding.
