Am I going to be lost not having played the other Killzones?
|
I don't think so.
..kz3 ended on a bit of a cliff hanger and in a developer interview they already said those questions won't be answered in kz:sf. basically they said this game flashes forward several generations to a time where (for unexplained circumstances) the ISA and the helgast are forced to live together.
aka,. reboot.
i think all you need to know is in the past the ISA and helgast were at war and hate each other. i think any other story elements will be specific to kz:sf.

OK thanks for the summary. Really didn't want to go back and play the old ones. I am going to be spending a lot of money on video games this holiday season me thinks.

as a side note (not nessisarily specific to killzone) but there is generally someone who posts a youtube video of a collection of a game's cut scenes. for most games it's a decent way to catch up on a fanchises story without playing the previous games. i watched the GoW I and II videos before picking up GoW III and it worked out well for me.
