You know, it's funny. The first Sims game was dropped after expansion pack #7, and so too is Sims 2, it seems. Even more amusing is that the expansion packs all seem to parallel each other between the games:
Livin' Large -> University
House Party -> FreeTime
Hot Date -> Nightlife
Vacation -> Bon Voyage
Unleashed -> Pets
Superstar -> Open for Business
Makin' Magic -> Seasons
So I wonder what Sims 3 expansion we'll get. Besides the obvious usual additions of vacations, pets, home businesses, and downtown/nightlife. University and Seasons were the wildcards for Sims 2, and Livin' Large and Makin' Magic for Sims 1.
