Quite possibly. With Call of Duty being reviewed much lower than usual and Battlefield 4's critical reception not reflecting its hype with the handful of current reviews for it, Shadow Fall has a shot at being the best overall shooter for 2013. Even looking into 2014, assuming Shadow Fall does become the best 2013 shooter, Titanfall won't be out to challenge Killzone until 4 months later and Halo 5 will be a whole year later.
Not to mention, looking at Halo 4's lower critical reception compared to previous entries in the main series and somewhat divided consumer opinion on it, Halo 5 might suffer the same reception as Call of Duty just did. Killzone may find itself in a position it's never been in before. Generally being considered the best all around shooter available for the generation it's in for any length of time. Then again, it could end up looking like a big deal and then not be when it launches. It sure is pretty though.
