Er. There are more PC's that are faster than the Xbox One and Playstation 4 combined, than there are next generation consoles on the market.
So the next gen market is actually bigger on the PC as it is right now.

Plus if you bothered to keep an eye on the Steam statistics, you would have noticed a trend.
Most GPU's that are older than the Radeon 7000 series and Geforce 600 series are actually in decline.
Roughly 8% of the 65 Million users on Steam has a GPU that's more powerfull than the Playstation 4 and it's increasing. (That's roughly 5.2 million PC's)
There are even significantly more that are faster than the Xbox One.
The Steam Statistics also don't factor in Multi-GPU configurations either, Steam for instance would only think I have 1x 7970, so that increases that 5.2 million number.
Steam statistics also doesn't take into account Optimus powered systems either, thus it doesn't detect the nVidia GPU, only the Intel one.

66% of GPU's have feature-set parity to the Playstatoon 4, thus granted they have varying degrees of performance, they can however run the same games as the Playstation 4 on a technical level with varying degrees of image quality.

CPU's it's not even worth worrying about, even a 6 year old Core 2 Quad is faster than the 8 core jaguar that only has 6 anemic cores for gaming.

Pretty much the vast majority of all PC's using Steam are faster than the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, who are currently the PC's only competition on the market.
Keep an eye out on those Steam statistics over the coming months though as people do a spade of upgrades for the upcoming games.
