This is a horrible way to review games.

People often say this, but if you sit an exam and get 50% on it, it's often just a bare pass. 75% mean you did decently, and 90% mean you did very well. It's actually not that bad a scale.

On the other hand, the system isn't broken, but it's a stupid system. Rating a game out of 10 based on how much you like it, as though it represents some sort of value rating? It's just wrong. I'd like to see them start reviewing games with two metrics - quality of creation (are there graphical defects? glitches? control problems? etc), and then recommendation (did the reviewer like it?).
