These kinds of distractions are what invigorates the games industry....and also is ruining it. 

It invigorates me to hate my fellow gamers. And yes, its ruining the industry and the gaming community. We hardly ever get good thoughtful discussions going because people are too wrapped up in their own world of "my console won, your console sucks dong".
