Do you think people really hate the wii u or is it just an easy target? Are people fascinated with the wii u itself or the situation that surrounds it?

I think its spite because everyone expected PS3 to win hands down with its magic of the cell processor.

Then when a console barely better than the gamecube with waggle controls won they where mentally and emotionally broken.

Even before launch you could see the media and other gamers bashing the console without even knowing what it could do..

Not quite sure what the PS3 has to do with the Wii U.

Uh did u read my whole post?

The fact that PS3 lost last gen to Wii  when everyone thought it would crush the competition is reason enough for people to hate the successor to the Wii. Hence why people bashed on it before we even knew any specs about it.

No one uses that a reason to bash the Wii U. What reason would you give for people bashing the Vita so?
