Do you think people really hate the wii u or is it just an easy target? Are people fascinated with the wii u itself or the situation that surrounds it?

Apathy.

I was actually a bit excited at first. I thought, "okay, Nintendo is serious this time, they want me back." ZombiU seemed like a nice start at expanding Nintendo's audience. In the end, though, they were still mostly leaving that up to third-parties, and it's become clear that they didn't even talk to many of them.

Right now, it feels like nothing has changed. The Wii U is going to be for gamers who were already Nintendo fans. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but it's not what Nintendo was saying before launch.
