Where they got the data matters because it's if not their own prediction, then they shouldn't take credit for it. If they're changing it to match publisher numbers, they should say so.

At the end of the day, VGChart's predictions are kinda of accurate in some instances but mostly hit and miss.

I never said I blindly believe Pachter.  It was clear I was saying his opinion is more valued than yours.

Accurate numbers are accurate numbers.  In using numbers for a factual debate it matters very little if you think they are unethical how they get their numbers. 

You're free to believe a guy whose predictions have been turning out to be flat out wrong for years now.

And, accurate? The only accurate numbers come from publishers. And unless VGChartz comes out and says that they got those numbers from publishers, they're just estimates.
