I didn't think the Wii U would be doing as poorly as it has cause it has some really stellar games like Nintendo Land and New Mario U which were available basically since launch.

I am also surprised about the poor sales/reception of the excellent PS-Vita. It is so much better as hardware and OS than the 3DS, yet it hardly sells while the 3DS has the software support and sales momentum.

The interesting thing is that Nintendo was able to recover from lack of that initial momentum on the 3DS, while on the Wii U I haven't seen anything from them that really turns things around.

Maybe the 3DS finally picked up after the PS-Vita came out with a poor launch and the Wii U needs similarly dismal launch from both Xbox One and PS4 before it starts getting traction. History has always favored the weakest/cheapest machine and for next-gen the Wii U certainly has that going for it.
