Are they?  There's normally about a maximum of 10 lobbies (but often a lot less) online whenever I check.

Unless you mean playing the single player.  But I finished that about 3 years ago; and I finished WipEout 2048's single player about 6 months ago, so there's not really much left for me to play (that was getting an elite pass on every single cell of the campaign, too).

And since WipEout is all about learning the tracks like the back of your hand so you can get the best times on them, more tracks is never a bad thing.  In fact, I'd have kept buying DLC tracks on HD Fury/2048 for as long as they were making them, if Studio Liverpool were still around.
