If you haven't logged in for months, then no you're not considered an active user.

The same can't be said about Xbox Live and the Playstation Network, they count everyone even if you haven't logged in for years, which makes Steams numbers even more impressive.

Steam logs me on start up so, yes, I am an "active" user. I just never use it.


Well. I've signed up for both Xbox Live and Playstation Network, I haven't logged into the Playstation network in years.
Yet, in Sony's numbers I'm consdered an "active user".


Sony doesn't use the term "active". Are you from Australia, btw?
