I don't get it. First of all, who cares why someone wants to buy something. It's none of your business. Why is it so hard for people to understand that perhaps they like something for ANY reason. Perhaps they like the memories they have attached to one of their favorite consoles. Maybe they have had a lot of fun on a console with some friends that they made on that same console. I'm sorry but sometimes certain experiences, nostalgia, online interaction and friends are worth more than money. People sometimes pay a ton of money just to reignite some form of nostalgia that they once had as a child. There is absolutely nothing wrong with picking something because you have that experience with your friends.

It seem like PS fans are just hell bent on their opinion being the ONLY intelligent way. Nobody has to agree with you on your opinion about anything. If you force it, you push people away. If you work at a Gamestop. You should not be biased at all. I get that if someone directly asks you but you do not need to go on and on about PS4 to them. I have had a similar experience to this. I pre ordered my console and the guy behind the counter seemed like he was unhappy about my purchase. I could sense this in him. He asked me "Why do you want this console?" I went from being happy and excited to feeling annoyed about my experience in that store. Every time I went back to make another pre order payment. I got the same treatment. I was getting really pissed off about it. Soon my payments turned into "I don't feel like going there to make a payment perhaps I should pre order somewhere else". Long story short. I went in to make my final payment the other day. I was excited, and I was happy about it. Guess who was behind the counter. I balled up my fist and spoke loudly in my mind. "If he says 1 word about my purchase. I am seriously going to report him." To my surprise. He said I was excited about PS4 but there is absolutely no games I want to play now... I was shocked. I am not telling this part because of fanboy reasons. Just to help you better understand.

Point is. It's incredibly pompous and out of line for you to judge someone for purchasing what they want to purchase. Regardless of price or whatever the reason is. You are not there to push your interests on someone. You are there to help them make a purchase that they might be excited about regardless of your opinion. Possibly help them buy more so they go home feeling excited about their purchase(s). That's it.

To be perfectly clear. I like BOTH consoles. I know, I know. It's a relatively rare thing for someone to want to purchase both so they can enjoy gaming. I also play on PC too. I also have a N64 and a Dreamcast that I still play. Why? Because I like to experience gaming. I am purchasing Xbox One at launch and then will be picking up PS4 later, and YES part of my launch console decision is based on my friends are also getting X1 at launch. If that's not a valid enough reason for you then you seriously need to take a step back and worry about your self. Not trying to sound harsh, but be excited about YOUR purchase. You don't have to sway people into YOUR way of thinking.

Yeah. Sony fans need to stop
