The Chiefs-Broncos game was flexed to Sunday night instead of being a late game. The NFL probably had to pay a lot of money to CBS to get the game as Broncos games are the most popular this year. 5 of the top 7 NFL games this year had the Broncos as one of the teams.

I just read about that on NFL.com. Apparently the NFL has reserved the right for flexible scheduling from week 11 through week 17 which should mean that the broadcasting networks have to take what they get without getting any compensations.

Makes sense as they can get teams they know will be playoff contenders, while in the early season it is harder to predict so there is little point in flexing games.

I am actually sick of Broncos prime time night games. I think they will have seven of them unless they get flexed up again. I prefer the normal late game schedule. Waiting all day for the game is not fun.
