Honestly I think of them as the same series. If we get a Demon Souls II, I'd expect it to basically be dark souls III instead of reverting to the old mechanics.

Only difference between the two names is exclusivity.


Pretty much this.  I see the whole Demon's Souls vs Dark Souls argument as very petty.  They are practically the same so it is like preferring Halo 3 to halo 4. minor differences that is all based on your preferences.
