Um have people forgot how awful PS3 multiplats looks when it launched???

If PS4 really is easier to develop for, than this is the same situation all over again. Shoddy developers, not shoddy hardware.

No, let that fact be forgotten for just a little while...............

If I've had as little knowledge as you two I wouldn't go around writing nonsense and call it "facts"

This is nothing like how PS3 was to Xbox 360..

1) PS3 used a unique/unfriendly approach in its structure. The CPU, GPU and RAM were extremely different from 360's. The Cell was far harder to develop for yet it had amazing potential. It had 2 smaller RAMs compared to one, larger unified RAM for X360, making the console struggle to maintain the quality of ported games. Whereas now, the architecture is pretty much one and the same.

2) The PS3 came out an entire year after X360. The consequences were massively harmful for Sony, which was apparently too arrogant to see it coming. Again, this isn't the case with the coming generation. We wont have a "leading platform" scenario like we had this gen.

3) The difference on paper between X360 and PS3 was never that big to begin with. The superior Cell was largely a mystery but everthing else was arguably inferior to X360's.. The GPU was downright worse and the split RAM caused problems with ported, multiplatorm titles.

None of these issues are present with X1/PS4.

Yep, exactly.....Good post.
