10.6 million was my original projection for Wii U's total, but that was made in the beginning of 2013.  Between January and now, a lot has changed...namely, big games not performing as well and of course, console sales being rather poor.  Right now I believe that a more realistic outcome by January 1st, 2014 is 7.4 million.  Considering that as of September 30th, Wii U is at 3.9 million, that's asking for 3.5 million to be sold in the last three months of the year.  That should be attainable.  If Wii U winds up being higher than 7.4...like say, 8 flat, then that'd be pretty awesome and would require 4.1 million in three months.  Both are possible, with the latter needing some big draw coming in from Super Mario 3D World and the new bundles all selling well in each territory.  On the other band, if Wii U sells somewhere between 5 and 7 million total, then that's going to be tough to bounce back from when trying to attract third parties in 2014.  Keep strong, Big N.
