I have disc to get scratched by the PS,Ps2, And even PC before. The faster you spend the disc the greater the chance of scratching the disc. It only takes a small piece of dust on the tray to scratch it.
Still every time I had a disc stop working because of a scratch the Disc-Doctor repaired it.
