The combat is fluid and fun and comparable to the console games. My 2 issues with it: 1. It is really easy. The fact that Batman adjusts to the "depth" of the combatants puts them at a disadvantage. it still feels crushing and has multiple fight moves and combo linking just like console Arkhams. 2. There is simply not enough of it. They really should have employed randomized or respawning enemies in a 'hard" mode with the game. I felt the same way about the console games regarding it being too easy however. If you like the Batman games for combat only I would suggest renewing your plus. If you like the exploration elements I talked about in my impressions foremost over combat (as in Metroid or SoTN) you will like the game alot. Overall I enjoyed combat but there certainly should have been more fighting on screen at once and more fighting in the game overall. Other elements of the game make up for it, including the bosses. There are 4 main bosses and 3 sub-bosses. Replay value is moderate. I couldn't see playing completely through it more than twice without a long break after before possibly more simply because of the backtracking without enemies. Also, once you get to the end it does not let you re enter the prison I am pretty sure. I think you simply have to start a new game. It gave an onscreen warning about it. Need to confirm this 100%.

So, if I buy the game, should I start on hard ? I play most games on normal with a couple of exceptions.
I'm planning on buying the game, because i like 2D, 2.5D brawlers, scrollers platformers etc... It is just a matter of buying it now or later. It is nice to know that the bosses are chalenging. Fuck it, i'm buying it ^^.

There is no difficulty setting. Dude it was a good game. It is worth buying. People are hating on it because the bosses and exploration are difficult, but it is fun. Games that don't hold your hand the entire way kick way more ass.
