Xbox was an attempt to reduce Sony's marketshare. It had nothing to do with "crushing them" or Nintendo, for that matter.

Well MS did save Apple with that investment but not the way we actually thought they did.

I never knew about this either till a friend of mine shared this on Facebook and commented how evil Jobs is for manipulating Gates soft spot for Apple. Lol
