Congrats Rocketpig! Don't wear out those poor sods below you though...

For the next seveal months, I'll be the poor sod getting worn out. The company makes and imports heavy industrial machinery and there are so many product lines to learn and sort out that it makes my head spin.

Just wondering, is it things like bulldozers, cranes, tooling equipment, engines, etc. It can be quite an interesting field. I wish you good luck (or "break a leg" as they say in the entertainment industry). I guess you'll be grinding down for the next 4-6 months as you get up to speed. It's always fun to be learning something new (as long as you have a decent boss).

They actually do CNC machines and other large mills and lathes. Some of the stuff is 25 feet long and over 10 feet tall. Crazy big stuff.

Learning new stuff is always fun, though. It's one of my favorite parts of the design business. I have learned tons of info about random stuff like green power, forklifts, ATVs, industrial machinery, street sweepers, amongst other things.
