a) So why did they de-rate the temperature? there is no reason to drop the usable operating temperature unless its running hot?

b) A typical device runs has a maximum at 45-55 degrees C.

c) Why would a company REDUCE this temperature if their device could work at the most commonly used ranges?

d) Also why would they also include asoftware cut-out when the temperature rises slightly above this?

a) Go read a PS3 manual or download one. It says Operating Temperature: 5deg C - 35deg C. So stop writing rubbish.

b) What the hell is a "typical device"? I can assure you that some parts of the PS4 may run considerably hotter than 55 deg C under certain conditions

c) They didn't. Just read a PS3 manual, as in a). And who in the hell would run their PS4 in a room > 40deg C? (it would still work, probably, just with rocket sound from the ventilator).

d) To protect the PS4 from overheating??? And no, it doesn't stop when the temperature is above 35deg C. It stops when the APU temperature gets too hot, probably around 80-90 deg C....

Ouch, I just did and concede it is the same my mistake
