I'm fully serious. Devs should sacrifice IQ if it allows the graphics to be bumped up.

Look at the PS3. It was fully capable of doing 1080p yet so many games were well below that. Why? Because dropping the resolution makes the game look better. It's just like the argument of 30fps vs 60fps.

IMO, In the case of Call of duty xbox one version, i doubt the dropping of resolution has anything to do to make the game looks better but more about increasing performance.
