Now try the same thing on a 720p non-CRT TV. With proper anti-aliasing, 720p res will look much better. Higher resolution is better, but it certainly depends on what kind of equipments you have at your home, also, you need to take into account viewing distance and TV size to see if higher resolution is an improvement or not.
